PRESS RELEASE

WORLD INTERTAINMENT (WI) join forces with WORLD TELEMEDIA (WTM) to present an essential European forum for the digital entertainment and interactive services industry - 12-14 October, Renaissance Hotel. Amsterdam.

LONDON & HANNOVER 18 MAY 2011 – Revenues from interaction with media and marketing have started to show encouraging signs of growth over the past few years - as more consumers use their mobiles, smartphones, tablets, games consoles and netbooks to interact with TV, print, advertised media content and of course social networks.

These high tech, high value consumers no longer recognize the boundaries between online and mobile and expect a genuine “premium” from the content and services they wish to consume – especially if they’re expected to “pay up” or give up their valuable consumer data.

Against this backdrop, Alex Ruff (MD & co founder WI) and Jarvis Todd (MD & owner WTM) have agreed to combine their 30+ years' experience to co-produce an event that actually reflects and tackles the demands of this exciting new marketplace.

“The time has come to put on an event that can deliver on its promises and bring international businesses face to face to cover all the key aspects needed to develop new business in this exciting sector”

Says World Intertainment founder Alex Ruff

Whilst each event brand will retain its key themes, delegates will be able to move freely between seminar sessions and enjoy the benefits of combined sessions that specifically acknowledge the synergies between mobile and web, premium content types and of course the opportunities that exist to trade across international boarders.

Visitors can expect to meet - media and marketing companies, content owners, service providers, carriers and network operators, billing and collection specialists, technology providers, broadcasters, app developers, aggregators, resellers, data owners, webmasters, agencies and support services - as WI and WTM cohabit in a dynamic exhibition / trading arena.

The heart of the event will be located in the iconic Koepelkerk – built in 1668 and once an inspiration for Vincent van Gogh – recently refurbished into a “state of the art” convention centre and now the inspiration for this new breed of B2B trade event.

WI & WTM will be presented for the benefit and prosperity of the digital entertainment and interactive services industry – and not for the benefit of the organizers!

Of course expectations will be high that the networking events in Amsterdam will be second to none with these two organizations at the helm:

“We’re certainly looking forward to taking WTM back to its “spiritual home” and with Alex and his excellent team on board delegates should come prepared to “celebrate” the wealth of new opportunities this exciting initiative is set to deliver”.

Says World Telemedia boss Jarvis Todd, who goes on:

“It’s a very positive step for us to be working with a new partner and we’re looking forward to sharing ideas and to bringing our respective business networks together. I believe it’s an exciting proposition for the industry as a whole because this partnership will create a wider European appeal and deliver a level of online expertise to reflect the strategic needs of our clients”.

ABOUT WORLD INTERTAINMENT

It’s not easy to implement interactive services. In fact, it’s impossible without strategic or technical partners. On top of that, every country and governing authority has its own regulations. Whether you need legal advice, technical equipment, the right software or billing systems, the World Intertainment fair is of interest to any interactive service provider.

World Intertainment is one of Europe’s largest specialist trade events for interactive entertainment services; where visitors can make new contacts and, along with their business partners, develop or realize ideas for new, innovative interactive services.

As a B2B fair for promoters and providers of interactive services, the World Intertainment targets many areas of business; carriers, buyers, mobile service providers, telecommunications providers, content providers, call centre managers, lawyers and collection agencies. This is where they can meet their clients: the TV broadcasters and promoters, webmasters, publishers and advertising agencies.

ABOUT WORLD TELEMEDIA

WTM was established in the early 1090s and has been the leading event for “premium mobile content, billing & delivery”. WTM initiative is organized by the only dedicated B2B media company in this sector, with business title such as Telemedia Magazine and industry portal Telemedia-News.com included within its portfolio.

WTM events have focused on how to develop creative, interactive consumer propositions that monetise the most ubiquitous connection we have with the consumer’s “eyeballs and earlobes” – the fixed and mobile network. It has reputation for representing an industry of specialists that understand how to successfully promote, deliver and bill for premium digital content and interactive services by linking network and micro billing technologies to a range of media distribution channels.

It’s now widely recognized as one of the leading B2B event and trading exchanges for international providers to develop new partnerships and routes to market across the established Telemedia value chain. Attendees gain an understanding of the technical capabilities and entrepreneurial skills on offer and leave with the intention of applying dynamic Telemedia solutions to their business.
